FIELD: compositions for production of protective manganese phosphate coats no more than 5 mcm in thickness on steel and cast-iron surfaces working under friction conditions. SUBSTANCE: proposed concentrate contains the following initial components, mass-%: manganese ion source, 12.0-14.2; nickel ion source, 0.9-3.5; iron ion source, 0.04-0.1; orthophosphoric acid, 4.0-10.0; nitric acid, 9.0-14.0; the remainder being water. Correcting composition for production of protective manganese phosphate coat contains the following initial components, mass-%: manganese source, 12.0-14.2; nickel ion source, 0.45-1.4; iron ion source, 0.02-0.05; orthophosphoric acid, 17.5-34.0; nitric acid, 8.7-14.0; the remainder being water; both concentrate and correcting composition contains one compound of the following series: manganous carbonate, basic manganous carbonate, manganous nitrate, metallic manganese, mainly manganous carbonate; nickel ion source contains at least one of compound of the following series: hexawater nickelous nitrate, nickelous carbonate, nickel oxide, mainly hexawater nickelous nitrate; iron ion source contains at least one compound of the following series: nonawater ferric nitrate, ferric chloride, ferrous sulfate, mainly nonawater ferric nitrate.
