FIELD: mechanical engineering; testing facilities.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device for diagnosing condition of internal combustion engine in operation contains reference values setter with power, engine shaft speed and specific fuel consumption outputs, two comparators, four indicators-warning devices, fuel consumption pickup whose output is connected to input of extremum location unit with on-line storage of maximum fuel consumption first output of which is connected to first input of specific fuel consumption calculator, second input of calculator is connected to first output of maximum power indicator-holder and engine crank-shaft speed at maximum power whose input is connected to output of power meter unit whose input is connected to second output of extremum location unit and output of two comparators are connected to indicators-warning devices. Output of said comparators are connected as follows: one to outputs of reference values setter and the other, to outputs of maximum power indicator-holder and calculator of specific fuel consumption. Device is furnished additionally with calculator of difference of values of maximum fuel-air mixture combustion pressure in cylinder and compression pressure in cylinder at no delivery of fuel, three comparators and four indicators-warning devices. Power meter unit is made in form of pickup of stresses in studs or bolts holding cylinder block head and it records combustion pressure of fuel-air mixture in cylinder and compression pressure in cylinder at non fuel delivery. Output of said unit is connected to input of maximum power indicator-holder which is made with additional holding of maximum combustion and compression pressure in cylinder, its outputs being connected, one to output of calculator of difference of maximum combustion pressure and compression pressure in cylinder, and two others are connected to first inputs of fourth and fifth comparators and its second inputs are connected to additional fifth and sixth outputs of reference values setter according to maximum pressures in cylinder with and without delivery of fuel, and outputs of fourth and fifth comparators are connected to inputs of seventh and eighth indicators-warning devices. Additional fourth output of reference values setter, namely, pressure rise degree output, is connected to second input of third comparator whose first input is connected to output of calculator of maximum combustion pressure values, and outputs of third comparator are connected with inputs of fifth and sixth indicators-warning devices.
EFFECT: improved accuracy and reliability of checking condition of internal combustion engine, enlarged operating capabilities of device owing to additional measuring of parameters of working cycle in cylinder-maximum combustion pressure of fuel-air mixture, maximum compression pressure at no delivery of fuel and difference between said pressures.
