FIELD: induction heating devices. SUBSTANCE: proposed device intended for ensuring desired temperature distribution over item being heated and for heat treatment of complex-configuration and asymmetric items such as rails and the like has inductor whose coil is divided into a few sections each pertaining to definite local heating area; each inductor section is connected to power supply through respective matching transformer of unique design with ferrite rings; each section is made in the form of secondary winding of respective matching transformer, turn number of primary winding of each respective inductor section being found depending on electromagnetic radiation power required to attain desired temperature in particular local area of item being heated. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced cost, ability of heating complex-shape items using single inductor and single power supply. 2 cl, 4 dwg
