FIELD: glass compositions. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the glass composition stained for blue color and absorbing infrared and ultraviolet radiation with light transmission coefficient below 60%. Standard basic composition of sodium-calcium-silicate glass and iron and cobalt additionally and selenium and/or titanium is used as materials and dyes absorbing infrared and ultraviolet radiation. Glass shows color characterizing by dominant wavelength in the range from 480 to 489 nm and excitement frequency at least 8% in thickness for 0.160 inch (4.06 mm). One of variant of glass composition stained for blue color involves part represented by material absorbing solar radiation and dye consisting of from 0.9 to 2.0 wt.-% of total amount of iron, from 0.15 to 0.65 wt.-% of FeO, from 90 to 250 parts of CoO and, optionally, up to 12 parts of Se and up to 0.9 wt.-% of TiO2 but preferably from 1 to 1.4 wt.-% of total amount of iron, from 0.20 to 0.5 wt.-% of FeO, from 100 to 150 ppm of CoO, up to 8 parts of Se and up to 0.5 wt.-% of TiO2.
