FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dark tinted automobile windows. An automobile top window comprises a glass panel made of coating-free glass having Lta falling within the range of more than 0% to 10% and a solar emission transmission coefficient within the range of 30% or less with a measured glass thickness within the range of 3.6-4.1 millimetre, e.g. at a thickness of 3.6 mm, 3.9 mm or 4.1 mm. The window contains a calcium-sodium base and a paint of the following composition, wt %: total iron Fe2O3 of at least 0.950 wt %; FeO of at least 0.50 wt %; CoO of more than 0.030 wt %.

EFFECT: technical effect of the invention is creating the glass panels possessing the solar emission transmission coefficient established by CARB Council.
