FLEXIBLE COMBINED GABIONADE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: hydraulic engineering; applicable in armoring of bed, banks, canals and other structures. SUBSTANCE: flexible combined gabionade consists of trihedral prismatic gabions with isosceles triangle lying in their bases, and laid with their bases on bottom or bank. Upstream side is oriented upward and may be perpendicular or coincide with stream flow direction. Gabions alternate with prismatic concrete coatings. Adjacent sides of laid upstream sides are interconnected with one another to form solid grid coating. Space between neighboring gabions also having trihedral prismatic shape, but with apex oriented downward, is filled with concrete which is rigidly secured to contacted grid. Provided over crest of gabions are construction-deformation joints separating flexible combined gabionade in transverse and longitudinal directions. Space between neighboring gabions which are prismatic in shape with triangular cross-section and apex oriented downward, may be partially filled with concrete in its upper part, and its lower part, with filler. Flexible combined gabionade may be made in form of cellular structure with cells filled with concrete alternating with cells filled with filler. Solid network working reinforcement laid by rows in transverse and longitudinal directions may be provided in flexible combined gabionade in stretched zone of concrete. EFFECT: increased operate reliability and longevity of structures by a factor of 1.5-2 as compared with known similar technical solutions with reduced consumption of materials. 4 cl, 7 dwg
