FIELD: water-development projects and amelioration construction. SUBSTANCE: invention can find use in bank-strengthening structures in eroded beds of rivers, canals, slopes of dams of various assignment and other structures. Combined reinforcement of slopes employs net and stones. Novelty of this approach consists in fact that reinforcement includes lateral and longitudinal semi-cylindrical gabions fixed in solid netted mat with lattice mutual arrangement. Internal space of gabions is filled with stone paving with stone rip-rap on top. Reinforcement leans on gabion cylindrical tooth to which flexible gabion apron is attached on the front to form L-shaped form of displacement-stable cross-section. Flexible gabion apron includes solid semi-cylindrical gabions with longitudinal arrangement of crest with reference to axis of water course, fixed on solid netted mat with filling of spaces between semi-cylindrical gabions with stone rip-rap or concrete and arrangement of structural-deformation joints along crest of gabions. EFFECT: raised efficiency and reliability of protection of banks of rivers and canals from erosion, prolonged service life of bank-reinforcing structures. 1 cl, 7 dwg
