FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in two-stroke diesel engines. Piston has crown with support surface at a distance from longitudinal central axis of piston passing in direction along circumference of piston and clamped relative to support surface of piston rod. Support surface of piston crown contains first surface which, in view in radial cross section, passes along straight line and forms angle between 2o and 88o with normal plane to longitudinal central axis of piston, and second surface which forms angle less than 178o or greater than 182o with first surface. Rod mating with piston is provided with corresponding support surfaces. Ring-like part (ring) can be arranged between piston and rod, said part being provided with support surfaces similar to corresponding surfaces of piston and rod. EFFECT: provision of steady transmission of forces from piston crown to piston rod. 16 cl, 13 dwg
