FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for on-line monitoring of aqueous heat carrier with boric acid additives and consists in that analysis of impurities is performed by double-column ionic chromatography technique. For that, system is calibrated in presence of boric acid within operational concentration range not exceeding 1.3 g/kg. When concentration of boric acid lies within a range of 1.3-12 g/kg, sample is preliminarily diluted to adjust boric acid concentration to operational values.
