FIELD: medical equipment, particularly, rectoscope designed for intracavetary examination of mucous membrane of anal canal, rectum and sigmoid colon in diagnostic examinations and treatment procedures. SUBSTANCE: according to the first version, rectoscope has body with light guide and tube provided with head whose end face is truncated at angle to tube symmetry axis, with formed cut having streamlined edges and lug. Novelty consists in that end face of truncation is tear-shaped, and lug on cut is deflected from plane running through vertical axial section of tube. Angle of deflection of lug on cut from plane running through vertical axial section of rectoscope tube is equal to, or less than 30 deg. Lug is deflected on cut to right or to left from plane running through vertical axial section of rectoscope tube. Cut plane is at angle of 15-60 deg to generating line of rectoscope tube and turned along its own vertical axis through angle of 5-50 deg. Inner diameter of head is not smaller than rectoscope tube inner diameter. Generating line of head cut on side of lug bend has curvature radius not less than half of rectoscope inner diameter, and on side opposite to lug bend, with curvature radius not less than multiple to 1.5 value of rectoscope tube inner diameter. According to the second version rectoscope has body with light guide and tube provided with head whose end face is truncated at angle to tube symmetry axis, and formed cut has streamlined edges and lug. Novelty consists in that output end of light guide is made in form of ring and located on end face of rectoscope body end, and end face of head cut is tear-shaped, and with lug on cut is deflected from plane running through tube vertical axial section. EFFECT: higher productivity of labor of medical personnel conducting rectoscopy procedures, reduced probability of patient injury during introduction of rectoscope into anal channel and infection of patient in repeated use of rectoscope. 21 cl, 8 dwg
