FIELD: concentration of mineral raw materials with use of separating characteristics in form of property of needed product to specifically react to radiation and dealing with large flows of initial product. SUBSTANCE: method includes transportation of material flow, exposure of material flow to exciting radiation, registration of reflected radiation and separation of valuable component by pneumatic cutoff. Cutoff is effected by cycles, at, least, by two short-time pulses. Duration of time intervals between pulses is taken in reverse proportion to speed of material motion in cutoff zone, and duration of pulse is proportional to speed of material motion in cutoff zone. EFFECT: reduced output of concentrate for cutoff due to reduced duration of disturbing effect on material flow in cutoff zone. 2 dwg
