FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for amination in production of polyamines, for example, for amination of alcohols, phenols, diols, alkanolamines and alkylene oxides with ammonia or primary or secondary amines, preferably, for amination of bifunctional compounds, for example, monoethanolamine with ammonia in the presence of catalytically effective amount of catalyst in reaction dehydrogenation/ hydrogenation. The process is carried out at the first stage to conversion degree 50-9 wt.-% as measured for total yield of polyamines at weighed average temperature proportional to time that is at least by 15 C above of weighted average temperature proportional to time at the next stage of process. At the first stage the preferable temperature is by 25-100 C above of temperature at the stage of process. In part, temperature at the first stage is 160-300 C and temperature at the next stage is 100-190 C. As catalyst of dehydrogenation/hydrogenation the catalyst is used that contains as catalytically active part at least one metal taken among the following group consisting of: nickel, chrome, cobalt, copper, ruthenium, calcium, magnesium, strontium, lithium, sodium, potassium, barium, cesium, tungsten, iron, zinc, uranium, titanium, rhodium, palladium, platinum, iridium, osmium, silver, gold, molybdenum, rhenium, cadmium, lead, rubidium, boron and manganese or their mixtures that can be promoted and applied on backing made of, for example, porous metal oxide containing aluminum oxide. Method provides the enhancement of selectivity of linear aminated compounds and to prevent alternation of color of polyamine. EFFECT: improved and enhanced method. 10 cl, 2 tbl, 1 ex
