FIELD: chemical technology, catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of producing catalyst containing porous carrier and active metal precipitated on it. Method involves treatment of carrier with catalytically active metal salt solution and reducing agent. Porous carrier is activated by treatment with sensibilizing agent solution and catalyst salt solution to carry out chemical precipitation and absorption of indicated catalyst for chemical precipitation on indicated porous carrier. Then activated carrier is treated with salt solution of catalytically active metal taken among nickel, palladium, platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, gold, silver or their mixtures and reducing agent for attainment of chemical precipitation of catalytically active metal on it.
