FIELD: metallurgy; methods of melting ferro-aluminum used for deoxidation of steel. SUBSTANCE: proposed method employs open channel-type or crucible furnace as melting unit. First portion of charge consisting of industrial waste (steel and aluminum scrap) and slag-forming materials in furnace. After melting of first portion of charge, next portions are loaded on protective liquid slag in succession; after melting of subsequent portion of charge, next portions are loaded at ratio determined by composition of alloy.
