FIELD: metallurgy; modification of alloys at ingot casting. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes grinding titanium in form of titanium sponge and mixing it with potassium tetrafluoroborate. Mixture thus obtained is placed in metal container which is heated to temperature of 515-530 C, after which pressure is rammed till disappearance of liquid phase; after relieving pressure, mixture is withdrawn from container. EFFECT: enhanced degree of assimilation of boron by liquid al8luminum; reduced losses of boron with slag. 1 tbl
