METHOD OF ROAD BED CONSTRUCTION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: construction of clearing roads from ground blocks in winter period on grounds with low bearing capacities. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of ground blocks in special reserve areas, moving of said ground blocks to site and formation of road bed. Novelty consists in that made in summer period are cutting of vertical seams in side reserves, isolation of cut area from atmospheric precipitation by covering with nonwoven synthetic material; in winter period, covering material is removed and freezing of blocks to preset depth is controlled, with subsequent break-off of blocks along frozen-thawed line and laying of frozen ground blocks having natural density with their bases upward, then, in summer, after thawing, road bed is compacted. EFFECT: reduced power intensity of road construction process with preserved road quality parameters. 2 dwg, 1 ex
