FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of operation of internal combustion engines on heavy fuels, mainly diesel fuel, and it can be used in combination (carburetion and fuel injection) engines with forced ignition of working mixture. Engine uses carburetion and fuel injection. Carburetion is provided by introduction of part of fuel in amount of 40% of total cyclic delivery of fuel into suction duct by means of carburetor or injection is done by injecting remaining part of fuel in amount of 60% into cylinder with simultaneous forced ignition of mixture. Non-combusted fuel from precombustion chamber gets into main chamber and burns out in presence of air. Suction manifold is furnished with device to provide carburetion. Total volume of main chamber and additional chamber makes it possible to provide compression ratio ε = 9÷11. EFFECT: reduced specific fuel consumption and toxicity of exhaust gases. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 2 ex
