FIELD: bedding. SUBSTANCE: pillow has flat base provided with slot having width making 20-50% of base length, one or two rolls positioned on opposite longitudinal pillow sides, at least one shoulder receiving slot extending in parallel with roll. Upper surface of pillow is provided with wavy relief having wave pitch of at least 0.4 cm with equal or alternatively different height of relief slots and ridges, whose upper and lower tops are arranged at one level or at different levels for forming of vented, softer upper layer as compared to basic pillow bulk. Pillow is made from polyurethane or latex and is equipped with cotton or knitted fabric casing. Pillow of such construction provides optimal physiological position for user's spine, and may be used as orthopedic pillow. EFFECT: increased sleeping comfort due to reduced pressure upon soft tissues of head and neck, sufficient relaxation of neck muscle, correct position of spine during sleeping and improved venous outflow from skull. 4 cl, 4 dwg
