FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on use of orthopaedic unit for treatment of spinal deformation. Orthopaedic unit includes neck-head pillow and lumbar support made of hypoallergenic porous elastic material. Pillow contains base plate and, at least, one lining plate. Base plate is notched with fillet and protruding wedge on one edge, and is furnished with bearing surface and working surface, and the latter contains notch, fillet surface and sloped wedge plane, the latter is tangent to fillet surface. Lining plate is furnished with wedge-ended protruding element on one edge, and has one plane for fastening to bearing surface of base plate or to another lining plate, and another plane - for fastening to another lining plate or for support. Sloped wedge and wedge-end planes have equal inclination angle and able to be mounted within one plane. In the middle of fillet, wedge and wedge end there are coaxial longitudinal grooves provided. Lumbar support has convex bent working surface on one side, and holding surface - from another side. In the middle of lumbar support working surface there is longitudinal groove provided. Lumbar support from longitudinal groove contains slot for bushing with possibility to vary slope of working surface. Convex camber of working surface reproduces bent concavity of waist and have average-physiological parameters for patient group completed by sexual and/or age signs and/or constitution type with possibility to vary slope of working surface due to bushing. Within bottom of coaxial longitudinal notches and longitudinal groove there are registering through apertures designed. During unit operation, head is placed in pillow working surface groove, while cervical and upper-chest spinous process are place in longitudinal notch of swab, wedge and wedge end of pillow, support is mounted in lumbar area so that spinous processes take places in longitudinal groove, the greatest support height is over L1 - L2 - L3 for women, and over Thl 1 - Thl 2 - L1 for men, and support camber height is shaped by insert to support slot. Insert covers all working surface of convex part except of slot or on one side from longitudinal groove for spinal derotation. Support dimensions are picked up by practical consideration.
EFFECT: simultaneous medical spinal affection within neck and waist while patient is on back or sitting due to possibility of separate and controllable installation of neck-head pillow and required lumbar support.
