FIELD: filtration of fuel. SUBSTANCE: proposed filter used in hydrocarbon fuel systems has housing 22 with inlet passage 52 and outlet passage 66 and filter medium enclosed inside this housing; filter medium includes alpha-cellulose layers 32 with intermediate layers 34 of additional medium where special rate of flow may be obtained. Filter may be also provided with bypass passage 56 actuated by relay 68 of vacuum sensor acting on electromagnetic valve (70, 72) for through flow between inlet passage 52 and outlet passage 66 at simultaneous operation of indicator 76.
