FIELD: manufacture of abrasive tools, namely abrasive wheels for rough grinding. SUBSTANCE: method is realized at using newly prepared binder for making abrasive mixture. The last includes binding component, filler and catalyst in quantity consisting 0.1 - 10% of quantity of binding component. All components of binder are preliminarily mixed one with another and they are simultaneously disintegrated until receiving uniform finely dispersed powder with particle size no more than 40 mictometers. Then binder is mixed with moistened abrasive grains, subjected to pressing and heat treatment. EFFECT: enhanced operational properties of abrasive wheels, lowered time period for performing pressing and heat treatment operations. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
