FIELD: experimental hydrodynamics of ships; measuring equipment for conducting tests of marine propeller models in hydrodynamic and ice model testing basins. SUBSTANCE: proposed plant has body, streamline stanchion and nacelle with members of drive mechanism and propeller shaft arranged inside it. Propeller models are secured on opposite ends of propeller shaft extending as cantilever from nacelle; they are located inside steering nozzles. Stanchion and nacelle are provided with brackets and heels in nacelle body for securing the steering nozzles and flow-directing wings. Mounted on one on propeller shaft members extending as cantilever is bush for securing ice-breaking members and changeable dividing bush. Torque meter includes two sensors made in form torsion bars with strain-gauge transducers and mounted respectively on propeller shaft and on shaft of drive mechanism and are electrically connected with current collectors. Force dynamometer includes flanges made integral with rods between them. One flange is connected with bush of turn unit and other flange is connected with stanchion. Cross sections of rods have form of rectangles or squares and their axes coincide with direction of plant axes. Strain-gauge transducers of rods form sensors of longitudinal and lateral forces, trim, list and pitch moments. Discrete turn unit is provided with retainer.
