FIELD: shipbuilding; ice ship propulsion complexes. SUBSTANCE: propulsion complex includes propeller in steering nozzle and at least two ice-breaking members made in form of blades secured on propeller shaft before nozzle; diameter of these blades of these blades is equal to 0.6 to 0.8 of diameter of propeller. Ice-breaking members are smoothly distributed over circumference in plane perpendicular to propeller shaft. Plane of section of these members passing contour of their maximum diameter is located at distance from plane of nozzle inlet opening equal to (0.02-0.25) of propeller diameter. EFFECT: improved service characteristics of ice ship due to reliable protection of ice-breaking members against ice fragments; enhanced efficiency under severe ice conditions. 2 dwg
