FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in power systems with internal combustion engines. Proposed system contains receiver, high-pressure fuel accumulator, cylinders with pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft. According to invention power subsystem is made in form of converter of mechanical energy into compressed gas energy and back, and transmission subsystem is made in form of multistage reduction gear consists of stages with constant ratio, and driving shaft of multistage reduction gear is brought out from one of its stages and is connected to crank shaft. Intermediate remote controlled change-over reduction gear provides different modes of transmission from driven shaft of multistage reduction gear to driving shaft of differential reduction gear, and control subsystem provides transmission of energy to consumer under internal combustion engine operation mode owing to energy of combustion of fuel mixture in cylinders transmission of energy to consumer under pneumatic motor operation mode owing to energy of compressed gas stored in receiver, and accumulation of pneumatic energy owing to energy transmitted from consumer under compressor mode.
