FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power plants with internal combustion engines. Proposed engine includes power, gear train and control subsystems. Power subsystem is made in form of mechanical energy-into-pneumatic energy and pneumatic energy-into mechanical energy converter. Its cylinders are furnished with heat insulated prechambers to which accumulator for storing high-pressure fuel is connected. Angular position pickup is connected to crankshaft. Gear train subsystem is made in form of multistage reduction unit from each stage of which driven shafts are laid, and driving shaft is connected to crankshaft of power subsystem. Gear train subsystem includes also intermediate remote-controlled change-over reduction gears and multiple-input differential reduction gear. Control subsystem provides transmission of energy to consumer when operating as internal combustion engine or pneumatic motor and makes it possible to accumulate pneumatic energy at compression mode.
EFFECT: improved efficiency in operation.
