FIELD: measurement of high-level alternating currents. SUBSTANCE: device includes two metal cylinders placed coaxially which are interjoined on one butt by means of flange, the other end of each cylinder carries its own current lead. Tip-off which end is linked to internal cylinder is positioned in space between internal and external cylinders. The other end of tip-off is connected through hole in side surface of internal cylinder to internal electrode of high-frequency connector put on flange. Integrating RC network ensures conversion of voltage induced across tip-off to signal proportional to measured current. To diminish influence of external magnetic field device has two identical tip-offs connected in parallel and arranged in symmetry relative to axis of cylinder. Tip-offs can come in the form of two turns embracing internal cylinder and wound in opposition to exclude effect of azimuthal redistribution of current across internal cylinder.
