FIELD: shoe industry. SUBSTANCE: shock-absorbing heel has flexible shock- absorbing insert and sufficiently rigid outer part defining casing. Flexible insert repeats shape of flux lines spreading from supporting segment of heel lower surface to oval part of insert upper surface contacting with user's heel. Construction of heel allows dangerous power reaction of support occurring when shank bone and thigh bone are straightened to be absorbed. Casing is made stepped, its lower base is made in the form of continuous surface of heel tap and upper base is made in the form of horseshoe. Height of casing is equal to height of heel. Shock-absorbing insert is made in the form of spatial figure whose lower surface is made in the form of segment of circle and upper surface is made in the form of oval having size defined by drawing of pressures occurring upon contacting of user's heel with inner sole. Inner sole lower surface is smoothly conjugated with upper surface. Shock-absorbing insert is connected to rigid casing so that insert lower base is in contact with rigid casing projection. Upper bases of insert and rigid casing define single surface. EFFECT: reduced loads transmitted to user's body during walking at phase, when user's heel initially contacts with supporting surface, due to changing of insert shape and correct selection of material. 2 cl, 6 dwg
