ANTIBACTERIAL AGENT AS OINTMENT AND METHOD FOR IT PREPARING Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: antibacterial agent as ointment contains antibiotic erythromycin, stabilizing agent, emulsifier, medicinal vaseline. Components are taken in the following ratio, wt. -%: erythromycin, 0.889-1.333; sodium pyrosulfate, 0.009-0.011; anhydrous lanolin, 36-44; medicinal vaseline, 53.1-64.8. Medicinal substance as erythromycin powder is ground up to particles size 40-50 mcm, mixed its with sodium pyrosulfate as a stabilizing agent and sieved. Ointment base is prepared by mixing anhydrous lanolin and medicinal vaseline as emulsifier which are melted at temperature 50-55 C, cooled to temperature 30-35 C and mixed with mixture of powders of medicinal substance and stabilizing agents. Homogenization is carried out for 2-3 min in the following ratio of components, wt. -%: erythromycin, 0.889-1.333; sodium pyrosulfate, 0.009-0.011; anhydrous lanolin, 36-44; medicinal vaseline, 53.1-64.8.
