FIELD: forest fire extinguishing, particularly to extinguish large-scale fires, fires in hard-to-reach areas, contaminated areas, in environment poisoned with toxic gas and for screw's life protection. SUBSTANCE: vehicle comprises chassis of military chain-tracks car having upper base. Removable rotating plate is fixed to chassis base. Detachable units, namely compartment for crew and fire-fighting equipment, connected with chassis working equipment by flexible connectors, containers for fire-extinguishing composition are mounted on rotating plate. Rotating plate executes angular revolving movement by manual or mechanical drive within the limits of ±90° in relation to chassis longitudinal axis. Compartment unit is located over chassis base and between front and rear containers with fire-extinguishing composition. Compartment length is not less than engine-transmission section cover width. Compartment location relative rotating plate (chassis base) axis of rotation is as following: 0.5 compartment length from front wall thereof and not less than 0.5 compartment width from cover front end of engine-transmission section cover. Compartment unit comprises at least one additional upper escape hatch formed with possibility of gun carriage manual operation. Vehicle performance is higher than tractor performance. Vehicle rate of movement is 5 - 10 times greater than tractor rate; mineralized barrier forming speed, which is created by "wedge-like knife" digging machine, is 8-10 times greater than that of tractor. Vehicle capacity is equal to capacity of 2.5 fire trucks of type which are the most popular fire trucks. The vehicle is single among mass production cars as per forest maneuverability, operation autonomy, crew protection against open fire and falling trees, gas-laden atmosphere.
