FIELD: fire extinguishing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire extinguishing equipment and can be used in extinguishing forest fires. The forest fire unit based on the BMP includes a body, a caterpillar mover, a tower mounted on the body. At the rear of the hull is a compartment for firefighters. In the front part there is an engine and a compartment for a driver, and in the tower there is a compartment for accommodating one firefighter. Inside the case in its middle part there is a compartment in which a tank filled with a foaming agent, tightly closed with a lid with the possibility of unscrewing it, and a gear pump are placed. The latter is connected to the tank and to the pipe that goes around the tank from the outside. The pipe is connected to a two-way branch for supplying water or foam, which, in turn, is connected through a flexible hose to a switching valve, through which fire extinguishing fluid is supplied to the fire nozzle or foam generators.

EFFECT: use of an infantry fighting BMP-based unit for extinguishing a forest fire with increased mobility reduces the danger of extinguishing a fire, and the unit is also air transportable.
