CENTRIFUGE FOR SEPARATION OF GASEOUS MIXTURE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for continuous separation of gaseous mixture in field of centrifugal forces by means of revolving rotor. SUBSTANCE: proposed centrifuge includes housing mounted on base with rotor, gas pipe lines and emergency shut-off unit arranged inside it. Emergency shut-off unit includes shut-off valves mounted on pipe lines and valve control system. Each valve is provided with spring-loaded stem and shut- off member. Valve control system is made in form of differential leverage which consists of two double-arm levers: first lever is connected with valve stem and is located on vertical rod mounted for motion along longitudinal axis; second lever is secured on axle for turning in horizontal and vertical planes; it is located on centrifuge base and on bracket provided with stop secured to its housing. Housing is installed on base for turning in case of damage of rotor. Lower end of vertical rod is located on arm of second lever. EFFECT: avoidance of penetration of products of destruction of centrifuge rotor into gas pipe lines; simplified construction. 4 dwg
