MANUAL DIE SET FOR CUTTING STRIP MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: plastic working of materials, possibly cutting strip material, for example cutting knives of stamping out tools with formation of barb on cutting edge of knife. SUBSTANCE: manual die set includes base with working table; punch with cutting edges mounted with possibility of reciprocation motion; die with through opening having two cutting edges and mounted on working table; stopper. Die is flush-mounted on surface of working table; through opening of die has hexagonal cross section with two pairs of parallel sides and with two tapered sides. Pair of mutually parallel large equal sides and tapered sides adjoining to them form cutting edges; punch is in the form of polyhedron whose cross section in plane parallel relative to surface of working table corresponds to contour of through opening of die. Shape of cutting edges of punch corresponds to that of die cutting edges. Punch is mounted in holder rigidly joined with slide which is jointly connected with eccentric. The last is jointly connected with base and supports handle secured to it. Slide and eccentric are arranged in cavity provided in base. Measuring gage such as slide gage is arranged on base in parallel relative to surface of working table. Stop is arranged on movable carriage of slide gage; working plane of said stop is normal relative to plane of working table. Axis of stop is parallel relative to plane of working table. Stop is mounted on bracket jointly connected with movable carriage of measuring gage. On working table at different sides of punch two elongated stops are mounted normally relative to surface of working table and to motion plane of punch in such a way that they overlap cutting edges of punch in beginning zone of cutting. EFFECT: improved design providing enhanced accuracy of measured cutting of blanks such as knife blanks for stamping out tools along broken line for forming barb in zone of cutting edge of knife. 6 cl, 8 dwg
