CUTTING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: apparatuses designed for manual cutting of strip non-metallic materials, for example rubber material and ducts of cutting die sets. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes base; movable cutter having two cutting blades arranged normally one relative to another and relative to base. Cutter is mounted in such a way that its cutting blades form angle equal to 45 degrees with lengthwise edge of base and edges of cutting blades are parallel relative to working surface of base. Cutter is mounted on slide engaged with eccentric supporting handle. Elongated stops are mounted on base in parallel relative to its lengthwise edge at both sides of strut. Unit for testing size of cut blank is in the form of measuring gage placed in groove of base in parallel relative to one of elongated stops. Origin of measuring gage coincides with projection of crossing point of cutting blades on base. Elongated stop at side of measuring gage is provided with movable stop having locking member. Ends of elongated stops turned to strut are tapered relative to lengthwise edge of base. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of cutting preset-size blanks, improved quality of cutting, possibility for making different shape cuts, enhanced comfortability of operator working. 3 cl, 7 dwg
