FIELD: manufacturing processes in machine engineering, abrasive working of holes in machine parts. SUBSTANCE: elastic helical tool includes housing in the form sleeve with radial slits and working cutting member in the form of elastic metallic belt with abrasive layer; ends of belt are fastened in said slits. Working cutting member is in the form of elastic metallic belt coiled to helix whose turn number is no less than two. Width of recess between turns is determined according to given relation. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and efficiency of working due to effective cutting by means of abrasive grains and due to lowered thermal stresses at grinding process in the result of helical arrangement of cutting surface, simplified control of process, simplified design of tool. 2 cl, 3 dwg
