FIELD: electrical engineering; off-line power supplies. SUBSTANCE: three-phase frequency converter designed for regulating frequency and voltage of power generators driven by high-speed motors has two sets of thyristors. Output of one thyristor set is connected to starting lead of first primary winding of revolving-field transformer and that of other thyristor set is connected to finishing lead of first primary winding of transformer. Second primary winding of transformer is shifted from first one through 90 deg. and finishing leads of both are interconnected. Starting lead of second primary winding is connected through phase- shifting capacitor to starting lead of first primary winding. Three secondary windings of transformer are spaced 120 deg. apart, their starting leads are connected in star, and finishing leads are used for connecting three-phase load. EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability, reduced electromagnetic noise level. 1 cl, 1 dwg
