FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: one should fulfill superior-medial laparotomy followed by splenectomy. Then stomach is devascularized along the greater curvature from gastric angle to esophagus. Pyroplasty is conducted. Abdominal esophageal department is devascularized, left hepatic lobe is mobilized and put aside, diaphragmatic vein is sutured and tightened. Sagittal diaphragmocrurotomy is performed. Lower thoracic esophageal department is devascularized up to the level of inferior pulmonary vein. Esophagus is crossed cross-sectionally at the level of lower thoracic department. Esophagus is sutured. The method in question provides prophylaxis of esophageal hemorrhages in case of varicosed esophageal veins and removes pathological venous drop of portal blood.
