FIELD: plastic metal working; particularly, manufacture of welded circular billets. SUBSTANCE: method of manufacture of circular billets out of age hardening nickel alloys incorporates steps of cutting hot-rolled sections into rods of measured length, heating rods for age hardening in water or in air, bending to ring shape under cold condition, butt resistance welding, hot or cold sizing to the new diameter and final heat treatment; in so doing heating of rods for age hardening is carried out up to temperature being by 20. . . 30 C lower than temperature of complete dissolution of γ′-phase of age hardening alloy. This method allows qualitative (without cracks) welded circular billets out of nickel alloys with homogeneous fine grain structure to be manufactured. EFFECT: enhanced quality of welded circular billets. 4 cl, 3 dwg, 1 ex
