FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely continuous casting of metals to slab cross section ingots. SUBSTANCE: mold of plants for continuous casting of metal to slab cross section ingots includes wide and narrow copper working walls secured to respective supporting plates by means of studs; braces with nuts passing through supporting plates and forcing wide working walls to end faces of narrow working walls. Dowels are arranged between joined surfaces of wide and narrow working walls and supporting plates. On wide walls dowels are arranged in pairs and they are inclined by angle 40-80 degrees relative to vertical symmetry axis of wide walls. Spacing between centers of lengthwise axes of inclined dowels consists 0.2 - 0.8 of width of working wall of mold. Spacing between centers of inclined dowels and upper end face of wide working walls consists 0.4 -0.6 of their height. Length of inclined dowels consists 0.1 - 0.3 of mold height. On narrow walls dowels are mounted horizontally and symmetrically relative to their lengthwise axis; their length consists 0.4 - 0.8 of width of narrow working walls. Spacing between lengthwise axes of horizontal dowels and upper end of narrow walls consists 0.3 - 0.7 of mold height. In all working walls dowels are made of material of working walls of mold. Inclined dowels are mounted with opening angle towards upper end of wide working walls. It is possible to arrange inclined dowels with opening angle towards end of wide working walls. Working walls and dowels are made of tin-alloyed copper having next content, mass: copper, 99.9 or less; tin, 0.02 - 0.07; impurities, the balance.
