FIELD: woodworking industry; applicable in production of thin veneer given fire-retarding treatment used for facing of fireproof plywood. SUBSTANCE: method includes treatment of thin sliced veneer of wood valuable species with moisture by immersion of each veneer sheet into heated solution of fire retardant with 30-35% concentration. After that, each veneer sheet is taken out of fire-retardant solution and placed on one another to form a stack. Stack is let to stand for some time, and then, it is disassembled and each veneer sheet is dried. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method.
