FIELD: practice of production of charges of composite solid propellant by the method of free casting used in rocket engines. SUBSTANCE: the method of production of a charge of composite solid propellant consists in loading of the charge of composite solid propellant in a mixer, mixing of the components of composite solid propellant, dumping of it by free casting in a mould for formation of a charge of composite solid propellant, its solidification, first a plasticizer and a surface - active compound, whose total quantity makes up 0.05 to 0.3% of the mass of the full loading of the mixer, are loaded in the mixer, agitated for 10 to 30 min at a temperature of 20 to 60C, and then the mixer is topped up with the other components of the composite propellant charge, their quantity corresponding to the preset compounding of composite solid propellant. EFFECT: reduced adherence of the propellant mass to the mixer walls, reduced quantity of the remaining propellant, and enhanced precision of compound of the propellant mass.
