FIELD: communications engineering; mobile communication systems. SUBSTANCE: in order to determine radio coverage areas of numbered Ci base stations of communication network residing on terrain with known topographic and geodetic parameters of its relief and of ground objects residing thereon, topographic and geodetic parameters of these base stations are measured, information such as electromagnetic signals from c = 1 is transmitted, received, and recorded sequentially for each i to station Ci, and at each i electromagnetic information signals are transferred for each j = i + 1 from station Cj antenna location, receiving device is turned on, and in absence of receive signal at station Ci it is transmitted from station Cj towards station Ci. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of using radio-frequency resource, enhanced capacity, reduced cost of communication network. 5 cl, 9 dwg
