FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has body part, fore part having canal for transferring the eye lens via it to an end piece giving the lens out, and plunger. The fore part is connected to the body part in the preferential embodiment via hinged connection so that cylindrical piece becomes open in the instrument for setting the artificial eye lens into the fore part. The artificial eye lens is placed on two pins separated by space in the fore part in the preferential embodiment of the invention to make lens bending easier. A transverse pin is available in the preferential embodiment of the invention. The transverse pin is mounted with displacement relative to axes of the pins in the fore part. The lens moves under the transverse pin that prevents the lens from lifting or being set in inclined position. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in setting the lens without distortions. 17 cl, 53 dwg
