FIELD: tire industry. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, one stud is fitted into tire by short-time pressing on analog control panel of semiautomatic machine, while at continuous pressing of said pedal automatic feeding and fitting-in of studs into tire is provided. Automatic feeding of studs and stud fitting rate are performed and regulated by program of microprocessor control unit in compliance with preset algorithm depending on pressure applied to pedal and/or device setting the rate. Semiautomatic machine for automated stud fitting contains stud fitting head set into vertical translation and reciprocation by double stroke pneumatic drive operating automatically under action of electropneumatic valves controlled by microprocessor unit. Microprocessor unit is set into operation by operator who presses analog control pedal providing automatic operation of stud fitting head. Stud fitting rate is proportional to pressure on pedal.
