FIELD: mechanisms controlling electric motor drives activated by foot pedals. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in various branches of industry to ensure safe control over various machines and equipment. Proposed pedal has body on which single- or multiposition pressure transducer is put. Upper rotary part of pedal designed for action on pressure transducer and spring-loaded from beneath is mounted on horizontal axle above it. In addition pedal carries electron control unit and one or two vicinity transducers connected to control unit. Displacement (turn) transducer of upper rotary part of pedal is located in body of pedal. Turn of upper rotary part of pedal around horizontal axis secures transmission of enabling signal to control unit for subsequent sending of signal to channel of communication with driving mechanism or external device when upper rotary part of pedal is correctly pressed by operator's foot.
