FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dimethylsulfide (DMDS)-base composite. DMDS is used as the parent addition in vapor- -phase cracking and in the sulfonation reaction of catalysts. To improve product odor caused by the presence of impurities the invention proposes DMDS-base composite comprising at least 95% of DMDS, less 500 mln. p. p. of methylmercaptane, less 100 mln. p. p. of dimethylsulfide and up to 1% of at least one perfume that represents ester of the general formula R1-CO2R2 wherein R1 represents possibly unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbon radical comprising from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R2 represents possibly unsaturated, linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbon radical comprising from 2 to 8 carbon atoms. EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of composite. 8 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl, 11 ex
