FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes heating of article, passage through its conduits of working medium with temperature unequal to average temperature, heating of article and measurement of temperature field on surface of article during passage of working medium through its conduits. Working medium is passed with variable flow rate. Results of measurement of temperature field are used to compute derivative from rate of temperature change by flow rate of working medium by which carrying capacity of conduits is tested.
