FIELD: electrical engineering; power supply to hydraulic structures. SUBSTANCE: novelty is that method includes routing of new power lines including those at least partially replacing existing ones or additional lines of supply mains, or power supply and distribution mains for hydraulic structures including erection of at least one distribution transformer substation at least partially of modular design that has at least two threedimensional box-shaped modules for power transformers and lowvoltage switchgear sections, and at least four modules U- shaped as viewed from top which are assembled in pairs to form two sections of high-voltage distribution center accommodating sets of prefabricated switchgear cubicles with factory-mounted and factory-wired switching, monitoring, and protective devices and auxiliary pieces of equipment; modules U-shaped as viewed from top are mounted in pairs on foundation with their transversal walls facing one another and integrated so that each pair forms boxshaped room for section of high- voltage distribution center; mentioned coupled modules are mounted so that they are abutting against one another and/or at least one of them is abutting against three-dimensional power transformer module and low-voltage switchgear section. Proposed method ensures high economic efficiency of power supply to hydraulic structures due to reduced labor and material consumption for erecting power supply facilities, and reduced maintenance charges. EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of power supply and distribution equipment, reduced failure probability, provision for no-break power supply to users. 9 cl
