FIELD: digital information signal transfer through transmitting medium. SUBSTANCE: digital information signal may be divided into one or more subsignals. Each subsignal is transmitted in the form of uncoded or coded signal. Method used for subsignal transmission depends on compression that can be afforded by coder. If compression level is low, subsignal is transferred in uncoded form. Identifying signal is added to complete television signal to be transmitted to receiver. First component of identifying signal points to whether one or more subsignals are transferred in coded form. Second component of identifying signal indicates for each signal whether it appears in complete television signal in coded or uncoded form. In this way complete television signal can be transmitted with minimal bit number at the same time recording more pieces of information on record medium.
