METHOD FOR RADICAL REMOVAL OF PARASAGITTAL MENINGIOMA Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, neurosurgery. SUBSTANCE: one should perform cranial trephination and lance dura mater in projection of tumor's location. One should clip the section of sagittal sinus above and below tumor's border. Tumor is removed together with the segment of superior sagittal sinus and that of a falx. One should tightly direct prosthesis into above- and underlying sinus's stumps. Prosthesis is a tubular cylindrical element with its terminal parts supplied with smooth curvilinear low-angle sections-facets designed either at its internal or internal and external surfaces. The suggested innovation enables to decrease relapse of disease and restore physiological circulation. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
