SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery. Photosensitizer is administered to the patient before the beginning of the operation or after anaesthetising the patient. Bone-plastic craniotomy is performed. Tumour is imaged. Tumour is removed under the intraoperative fluorescent control. It is followed by fluorescent diagnostics and biospectroscopy to detect matrix portions and residues of the tumour capsule. Recurrences, namely the continued growth of the detected matrix segments and the tumour capsule residues are prevented by means of a photodynamic therapy (PDT). PDT is divided into sessions of 2-5 minutes each every 1-2 minutes for biospectroscopic control. If there are no matrix segments and residues of the tumour capsule with continued growth, the PDT is not performed.

EFFECT: method enables preventing recurrences of intracranial meningioma following the surgical management, prolonging the recurrence-free interval in the patients and improving their quality of life.
